In this batch of photos I looked at portraits taken by Avedon. I tried to capture emotions shown through eyes rather than a regular facial expression. I used a white background to emphasize the models faces and expressions.
Good job i think the first photo is the best. also the third (of course). Cant find any critiques here, maybe just a little adjustment on the lighting in the 2 and 4.
I really like these picture, I think the expressions really capture the faces well. I think the second pic of Rosie is my favorite, the lightings really good. Maybe the other ones could be a tiny bit brighter, but other than that they're great.
From what I've seen so far and of my own shots, you really have done the best job at having the subject take up as much space of the photo as possible. It makes a nice sense of closeness with the subject. Minus the third photo, this is a very Avedon style set. The only technicallity with the third photo is that the photobackground isn't a solid white. The shadows take focus away from the photo. While this isn't like Avedon's style, I actually liked it better. The texture and assortment of shadows is super interesting.
Great job! Your pictures are really amazing and you really captured their emotion.
